MLK Community Mural Project

                   Pittsburgh native Joy Taylor has found an amazing way to give back to the community who's gave so much to her. Although she has many titles it seems the most appropriate one that comes to mind would definitely be humanitarian,although she is a national public art muralist, designer, and artist who's has decided to focus her talents on helping young  women who's aspiring to reach their goals.The purpose of this amazing creation is to assist young women in local areas with several opportunities with the focus on mural arts and fashion design. The class will guide the girls through business basics as they work as a team to balance budgets, choose themes and produce their fashion lines which will be exhibited in a fashion show at a public event. The goal of the project is to give the girls a sense of ownership and pride as they express their creativity in a positive manner, while also learning professional, business, fashion, health and entrepreneurial skills.

The History behind the artist: Joy Taylor

Although known for her beauty,charming personality and warm presents Joy insist on impressing us  by 
creating over 15 public art murals. With exhibited work in Pittsburgh and Miami. The artist has experience working as a: Muralist, Actress, Model, Stylist, Production Manager, Aesthetic Coordinator, Spokesperson, Radio Personality/Producer, TV Host/Reporter, and Writer. Some of her murals can be seen in areas such as: Squirrel Hill, G-20 Pittsburgh, North Side, Penn Hills, Wynwood
